Hunchun Railway Port has inspected more than 1 million metric tons of imported goods in the year to date, equaling the same period last year, according to local media reports.

The facility, located in the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, is the only railway port serving Russia in Northeast China's Jilin province.

In the first quarter, a total of 160,000 tons of goods were exported and 15 trains of China-Europe freight trains were dispatched, both setting record highs since the opening of the railway port.

The complex has actively adopted non-contact one-stop inspections and extended customs clearance times to overcome the impact of the current round of the COVID-19 epidemic in the province, ensuring normal levels of service.

At present, the main imported goods through the port are coal and frozen fish. The main export goods, on the other hand, are mainly automobile glass, tires, bearings and daily necessities.
