Jilin deputies to the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress, or NPC, set off for Beijing on March 3, according to local media reports.

This year's delegation from Jilin in Northeast China is made up of 48 deputies from all walks of life, including doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, researchers and industrial workers.

Before their departure, the Jilin deputies studied the motions they are preparing to submit during the 13th NPC, which will be held on March 5.
