Lyu Aihui, a member of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, recently advocated the integration of three industries in order to improve the performance of the entire beef cattle industry supply chain in the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, located in Northeast China's Jilin province.

Lyu suggested that the first step would be to increase the total number of the herd and develop standardized-scale breeding in Yanbian.

Yanbian yellow cattle are highly regarded in the industry. Yanbian is a unique breed for producing high-grade beef in Jilin province and it is advocated that their quality should be further promoted.

In addition, it is seen as being necessary to increase the added value of the beef, deepen the intensive processing of beef and extend the beef cattle industry supply chain.
