Hongqi, the luxury marque of automobile manufacturer China FAW Group, will award Team China athletes who win medals at the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games next month with its model H9 car, it announced at a news conference on Jan 19.

China FAW signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese national team and the Hongqi brand confirmed it recently at the Shooting and Archery Management Center of the General Administration of Sport, where it announced becoming a strategic partner of the national shooting team.

Last year, FAW Hongqi continued to maintain strong growth, posting sales of 300,000 vehicles, a year-on-year surge of 50.1 percent.
