The first ski-waxing truck independently developed by the city of Liaoyuan in Northeast China's Jilin province arrived in Beijing recently. It will be used to prepare the snow sports in the Yanqing division of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, according to local media reports.

The ski-waxing truck provides waxing for skiers. In ice and snow sports, waxing plays a very important role in the maintenance of snowboards, especially in accelerating the sliding speed of snowboards on snow and improving sports performance.

At the end of 2020, Liaoyuan began developing the truck. Taking advantage of Jilin's strength in ice and snow equipment manufacturing, it managed to complete the vehicle in less than a year.
