Northeast China's Jilin province has researched and drafted relevant policies and continued to increase support for the recruitment of college graduates, according to local media reports.

The Jilin Provincial Department of Education and six other departments jointly formulated and issued relevant policies and measures for the performance evaluation of college graduates' employment in the province, which for the first time included college graduates' employment in the province within the scope of the performance evaluation of colleges and universities.

The provincial talent development awards 3 million yuan ($470,700) to qualifying colleges and universities.

The provincial department of human resources and social security has guided and supported entrepreneurship and innovation, strengthened precision recruitment services, increased vocational skills training, and actively expanded employment opportunities for college graduates.

Changchun implemented the service projects to promote entrepreneurship among and employment of college graduates, and started constructing talent apartments covering an area of some 1 million square meters.

In addition, by means of graphic interpretation and video display, information on the policies related to the employment and entrepreneurship of college students was introduced.

Jilin city plans to recruit 10,000 full-time college graduates with a bachelor's degree or above within five years. Siping city provides corresponding guarantees for all types of talent in terms of housing subsidies and settlement guarantees.

Colleges and universities in Jilin province are taking action to encourage graduates to stay in the province for entrepreneurship and employment.

Jilin University has so far recruited 480 fresh graduates for employment, and Jilin Agricultural University has held a number of recruitment activities for graduates.
