Jilin issues 10m yuan in consumption subsidies
Jilin province recently issued 10 million yuan ($1.56 million) in consumption subsidies for its ice and snow pre-sale activity, ushering in China's online shopping spree known as Double 11, according to the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jilin Province.
The activity is an important measure to promote consumption of ice and snow-related activities and products in the province, as well as deepen the integrated development of the ice and snow economy with the new e-commerce economy in Jilin.
Through the integration of physical ice and snow resources in Jilin, the activity offers a new product covering the whole industrial chain, including catering, living, traffic, traveling, shopping and entertainment. It has fully mobilized the publicity and marketing advantages of online tourism, so as to jointly provide high-quality ice and snow tourism products and services for ice and snow lovers all over the country.
The subsidy will be available from Oct 20 to Nov 25. Consumers can receive discounts on mobile tourism apps such as Ctrip and Qunar. The maximum reduction for scenic hotel combination products is 750 yuan, while scenic spot ticket products have a maximum reduction of 125 yuan.
It is reported that during the online shopping spree, Jilin's ice and snow-themed activities will be listed on many online tourism platforms. Jilin will cooperate with Fliggy to carry out direct broadcast sales of ice and snow tourism products. In addition to the province's pre-sale subsidy, consumers can also enjoy Fliggy's discounts. Moreover, Ctrip will open a special area for ice and snow tourism products to gather more of Jilin's high-quality tourism products.
