Detailed information on the 13th China-Northeast Asia Expo (CNEA Expo) was released during a press conference held in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province on Sept 22.

The 13th CNEA Expo is set to open on Sept 23 in Changchun. It is the world's only national-level comprehensive exposition involving the participation of six Northeast Asian countries, and serves as a platform for countries in Northeast Asia to enhance cooperation.

This year's session will include three major events – a main forum, smaller forums and conferences, and exhibitions.

The five-day event running from Sept 23 to 27 will host seven themed pavilions that cover an area of 70,000 square meters, and include a Technological Innovation Pavilion, Automobile Pavilion, and a Northeast Asian Countries Pavilion.

A total of 1,001 exhibitors from home and abroad will take part in the expo.

Among them, there will be 321 exhibitors from 36 countries and regions including Northeast Asia, Europe, the United States, and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as 263 exhibitors from 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Zhejiang and Shanxi provinces, and Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

A total of 417 exhibitors from Jilin province will join in the expo.

During the period, 11 conferences and forums will be held, including the 11th Northeast Asia Cooperation High-level Forum and Northeast Asia Regional Cooperation Roundtable Conference.

Investment promotion activities will be held, including the sixth Global Jilin Merchants Business Conference. More than 40 projects are expected to be signed, with investment exceeding 50 billion yuan ($7.73 billion).

At present, Chinese and foreign government officials, businessmen and media reporters, and exhibitors participating in the expo have arrived in Changchun, and some conference activities have already been held as scheduled.
