Giant fruits, vegetables a hit in Jilin province food expo

Rare fruits and vegetables attracted lots of visitors to the ongoing China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Expo in Northeast China's Jilin province.
Initiated in 2000, the expo has been held 19 times, and has become a key event in China's agricultural sector. A giant pumpkin weighing more than 500 kilograms is one of the popular products in the fair.

With an exhibition area of 6,000 square meters, this year's event kicked off on Monday in Changchun and will last until Sept 15. Changchun is the capital of Jilin province.
Agricultural products, the latest equipment, new technology, various foods, light industrial products, and folk cultural items are on display at the expo, as well as exhibits about rural revitalization achievements.
