The Changchun Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone and Gongzhuling city are working hard to jointly push forward the construction of Changchun international auto city in the zone -- located in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, according to local reports.

Part of the planning of the Changchun international auto city, Gongzhuling city has committed to investing in more than 50 projects, each valued at over 50 million yuan ($7.08 million) -- with a total investment spend of 42.48 billion yuan.

Officials said that within the year, investment of 11.82 billion yuan will be completed.

Projects -- such as Evergrande cultural tourism city, Evergrande water world and a logistics project designed to handle 80,000 vehicles annually -- are currently under construction.

The Xihu Park, which is separated from Gongzhuling city by a river, is also currently under construction in the zone, covering an area of 200 hectares.

In addition to auto projects, high-quality education, cultural and creative projects, as well as other projects, have been introduced to the auto city.

Officials said these will see the development of a world-class auto industrial hub and an urban green development demonstration zone.
