Jilin province, also called "Ji" for short, is located in the central part of Northeast China. It covers an area of 187,400 square kilometers and has a population of 27,040,600. It currently administers one sub-provincial city, seven prefecture-level cities, Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture and the Changbai Mountain management committee, as well as 60 counties (comprising cities and districts).

Jilin enjoys the advantages of being located near the sea and being one of the nine border provinces of the country. It has a borderline with overall length of 1,438.7 kilometers, of which the China-Democratic People’s Republic of Korea borderline runs for 1,206 km while the China-Russia borderline is only 232.7 km long. Hunchun, located in the eastern part of Jilin, is only 15 km from the Sea of Japan and 4 km from Posyet Bay in Russia.

Jilin is located in the central part of Northeast Asia, which consists of Northeast China, Mongolia, DPRK, the Republic of Korea, Japan and the Russian Far East, making it a place with great geographical advantages and development potential.

Changchun, the capital city of Jilin province, is the provincial hub for politics, the economy, science and education, culture, finance and transportation. It is well known for being an automobile city, a film city, a science and education city, a forest city and a sculpture city. With its pillar industry of transportation equipment manufacturing, Changchun is currently building automobiles, agricultural products processing and science, education and cultural industrial bases. It is accelerating the development of 10 industries -- including auto and auto parts, food, electronics information, the bioindustry and medicine. It is a globally well-known city, suitable for starting businesses and living.
