CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co Ltd in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, has adopted a raft of measures to recover its production capacity, after it resumed work on Feb 10, according to company officials.

Staff were required to return to their work in batches, in order to reduce the risks of infection of the novel coronavirus pneumonia.

The company also issued handbooks about prevention and control of the epidemic, with more than 70,000 heavy duty N90 face masks, as well as disinfectants and hand sanitizer provided for workers.

In the space of a week, 40 percent of the overall capacity was restored and workers were producing products needed for deliveries to customers in the first quarter, according to company officials.

Li Wanjun, a senior technician, said the company is fully engaged in production and overcoming difficulties, so as to fulfill its supply commitments in due time.

Currently, six overseas projects -- including subway trains for Boston in the United States and Melbourne in Australia, double-decker buses for Sydney and light-rail trains for Tel Aviv in Israel -- are under production.

Among them, the Tel Aviv project marks the first time that China has exported low-floor, light-rail trains abroad. Officials said that four of the trains have been completed and will be transported to Tel Aviv on Feb 25.
