The First Hospital of Jilin University sent its fifth medical team to Wuhan in central Hubei province on Feb 7, to help fight the novel coronavirus pneumonia at the epicenter of the outbreak in China, hospital officials said.

The medical team consists of 130 medical workers, they added.

For extra convenience when getting in and out of protective clothing and to reduce the risk of getting infected, doctors and nurses cut their hair before embarking on the trip.
