Jilin province plans hospital for critical patients
|Northeastern Jilin province plans to build the Jilin tuberculosis hospital especially for its critical patients suffering from novel coronavirus-infected pneumonia, according to a news conference held by the Information Office of the People’s Government of Jilin Province on Feb 7.
Xing Cheng, deputy director of the Health Commission of Jilin Province, is the project director. According to the conference, as of the end of Feb 6 Jilin province had confirmed 65 cases, of whom four have been cured and discharged from hospital.
Yang Chunguang, deputy director of the Health Commission of Jilin Province, told the conference that Jilin had adopted a raft of measures to prevent and control the outbreak, such as establishing medical groups and arranging detailed medical rescues.
To date, the province has designated 74 hospitals to treat the virus and 131 fever clinics in each city across the province, according to Yang.
