Snow village in Jilin set to welcome winter tourists

Residents of a snow village near Laobai Mountain in Dunhua, in Northeast China’s Jilin province, are busily preparing for winter activities to welcome visitors, according to local reports.

Boasting rich forestry, folk culture and abundant ice and snow, locals say the village is an ideal winter tourism destination for visitors from China and elsewhere.

Each winter, the village offers a wide range of activities, such as folk culture displays, hands-on experience of making handcrafts, winter hiking and other fun activities that also feature local customs.

Local officials said that the village is actively promoting its winter tourism to drive the local economy.
