Despite the freezing weather, Wu Zhaorui doesn't stop his physical exercise outdoors.

Wu, 89, lives in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province, and has been swimming in the winter for 24 years. He's famous among winter swim enthusiasts at the city's Nanhu Park.

"In recent years, I have reduced my swimming frequency from once a day to twice or three times a week because of my age, but I never stop daily exercises," he said. "Besides exercising at a gym every day, I walk around frozen Nanhu Lake for about 20 minutes."

His exercise on the frozen lake often wows local residents and tourists.

"Physical exercises make me healthy and feel comfortable," he said. "I will carry on."
