A new terminal officially opened on Sunday at Changchun Longjia International Airport in Jilin province, and it will improve the capacity and add momentum to the construction of a smart aviation hub in the provincial capital.

The new Terminal 2, with a floor space of 55,600 square meters, is expected to be capable of handling more than 16 million passengers a year by the end of 2025.

T2 has been equipped with advanced technologies and artificial intelligence equipment, making it more convenient for passengers to go through customs and security checks, according to the airport.
