The Changchun Water Culture Ecological Park recently opened to the public for free in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province.

As the historical site of Changchun Water Purification Plant, the park has preserved some of its old equipment and buildings, so as to offer visitors a chance to catch a glimpse of Changchun's water culture and the bygone years of the industrial city.

About 80 percent of the park is green space [Photo/xinhuanet.com]

The park covers an area of 300,000 square meters, of which 80 percent is green space. Modern facilities like library, cinema, cafe, bookstore and cultural center inside the park allow visitors to rest while enjoying the surrounding green landscape.
