The China FAW Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) High-level Forum made its debut on July 22 in Changchun. Representatives of influential car makers, experts and scholars from well-known universities and institutes, and auto parts suppliers attended the event.
The forum themed on "Smart Manufacturing, Future Leader" aims to offer automotive industry insiders an exchange and sharing platform featuring technology display and project cooperation, as an effort to build China into an auto power and a manufacturer of quality.
The event focused on showing smart factory and smart manufacturing, and included 10 sub-forums centering on stamping, welding, coating and general assembly.
FAW Group also held an exhibition of AMT achievements and organized visits to the Hongqi plant as well as a high-end customization center.
The Hongqi plant has applied various advanced technology and equipment, established a digital factory and made innovation-based endeavors. On the basis of increased production capacity and digitization, it has enhanced its efficiency by strengthening the two-shift production management and balancing the mixed production modes for its four vehicle models.
It was the first time that FAW Group had launched the AMT forum, and the event is planned to be held once a year in the future. The organizer aims to turn it into the most influential event in the domestic auto sector through three years of development.
