Momoge National Nature Reserve in Zhenlai county in Baicheng city, Northeast China's Jilin province, has recently seen the influx of a large number of wild geese, as the weather becomes warmer, according to local reports.
These include bean geese, white-fronted geese and swan geese, who take a rest and find food at the Momoge wetlands on their way to their final destination.
Naturalists say that each March, the region plays host to more than 100,000 wild geese.
Zhenlai county, which has rich natural food and wetlands resources and has been called China's Hometown for White Cranes, welcomes a large number of migrating birds each spring and autumn.
This year, in the face of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, local departments have improved their protection for wild animals and birds, boosting measures against illegal poaching and trade in wildlife, according to local officials.
