The pollution prevention and control measures taken by Siping city, Northeast China's Jilin province, have obtained remarkable results. By the end of 2020, the proportion of days with good air quality in the city had reached 83.71 percent, with just two days of severe pollution, down three days year-on-year.
The average density of PM2.5 was 33 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 1 microgram per cubic meter; and the average density of PM10 was 62 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 8 micrograms per cubic meter.
