In 2020, the GDP of Siping city in Northeast China's Jilin province showed a positive upward trend.

It reached 52.66 billion yuan ($8.13 billion), an increase of 3.3 percent over the previous year. The added value of the primary industry reached 18.27 billion yuan ($2.82 billion), up by 4 percent year-on-year; the added value of the secondary industry reached 10.26 billion yuan ($1.58 billion), up by 5.2 percent; and the tertiary industry achieved an added value of 24.13 billion yuan ($3.72 billion), up by 1.9 percent.
