With a total investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion), the Tonghua Ice-snow Industry Town is now under smooth construction. It is expected to be a demonstration project of the ice and snow industry of Jilin.

The snow-trail woodland has been completed, and the construction of snow-trails is in progress. The parent-child hotel, commercial street and apartment building have also been built, as have the resort hotel and hot spring hotel. The project will conclude its first phase of construction and enter trial operation by the end of the year.

Phase one, invested in with 3 billion yuan, covers an area of 4 square kilometers. It will build snow trails, a resort hotel, a hot spring hotel and a tourist distribution center.

A ski resort has also been planned, which will include 33 ski slopes, a 1,000-square-meter transit service area, six magic carpets, five cable car lines, a 400-square-meter cable-car warehouse, a 2,300-square-meter control room and other supporting facilities.
