Updated: April 25, 2021

The first order worth 75 million yuan ($11.57 million) was delivered to the wine industry of Tonghua city, Northeast China's Jilin province, during the 2021 China Food and Drinks Fair in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

The Tonghua government attaches great importance to the development of its wine industry. At present, Tonghua wine boasts "China's largest ice wine production area" and the "world-famous Amur grape wine production area".

The wine production area has proposed that the industry's scale and efficiency should be doubled within five years, to be specific, the grape base of wine production should reach 60,000 mu (4,000 hectares), the output of certain-sized wine enterprises should reach 36,000 kiloliters, and the number of boutique wineries should increase to 10.

The tourism, culture and health industries are expected to cooperate with the wine industry, working together to make the Yalu River Valley a well-known Amur grape wine industry base in China.
