Chagan Lake braces for summer travel rush

Chagan Lake in Northeast China's Jilin province has entered the peak summer travel season. The rush will last until Sept 19 with copious transits of travelers.

In recent years, the Chagan Lake Tourism Economic Development Zone has strived to build Chagan Lake, in the western part of Jilin province, into a new engine and a world-famous lake for regional economic development, and to make it into a benchmark for national ecological protection and eco-tourism development as well as a popular brand of tourist attraction.

Chagan Lake has now entered the key period of creating a national 5A-level scenic spot and national-level tourist resort which is the highest level of China's tourism services.

It has a complete four-season tourism pattern, with beautiful scenery throughout the year, which makes tourists want to stay longer and attracts many photography enthusiasts.

There are also various tourism projects and activities in the summer tourism season of Chagan Lake, which increases the anticipated number of visitors.
