Jilin's cultural tourist commodities benefit the people

Updated: May 6, 2021

A five-day trade fair of local featured cultural and creative products and tourist commodities opened on May 1 in Jilin city, Northeast China's Jilin province.

The event, an effort of the city to benefit its residents and to support the local culture and develop its tourism industry, brought together 31 outstanding manufacturers of cultural and creative products and tourism commodities. Award-winning products shown at national-level exhibitions over the last two years were also displayed at the fair.

With profound traditional cultural elements, the exhibits boasted exquisite workmanship and strong aesthetic and collectable value.

In order to better boost the sales of the fair and unleash the city's market potential, as well as to meet the shopping demands of local people and tourists during the May Day holiday, special offers were rolled out with an accumulative discount of up to 900,000 yuan ($141,300).

Jilin will continue to heighten its effort to develop into a tourism and cultural city with a focus on summer resorts as well as rime and ice and snow sceneries, and take measures to upgrade consumption and boost the momentum of industrial development.
