Discover winter magic at Jingyuetan with ice, snow wonders

On Dec 28, Jingyuetan in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, unveiled an exciting array of winter activities. Its intermediate ski slope – an 800-meter-long, 45-meter-wide run with an 18-degree maximum gradient – officially opened for nighttime skiing. Catering to both novices and experts, its "white + black" ski mode combines daytime adventure with vibrant urban evening experiences.

Meanwhile, the China Vasaloppet Museum showcased its innovative fusion of Nordic design and regional culture with AI-driven features, a stunning 3D display and themed exhibitions. Visitors marveled at the interactive installations – including the "Ice Rose" photo zone – bringing a wealth of culture to the winter snow season.

Jingyuetan Snow World – set to officially open in late December – already stands as a breathtaking spectacle. Utilizing 10,000 cubic meters of snow and 3,000 cubic meters of ice, the park boasts 18 themed snow sculptures with 73 individual designs. The main sculpture, the Jingyue Flying Snow, is an awesome 70 meters long – symbolizing the harmony of nature through elements like snowflakes, birds and forests.

Starting Dec 29, a great array of ice activities awaited visitors. From traditional dog sledding and horse-drawn sleighs to modern thrills like snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles, Jingyuetan promises both fun and nostalgia in buckets for all ages. This winter, Jingyuetan is said to be redefining adventure and beauty in a stunning frozen wonderland.
