CNEA Expo concludes, major project investments hitting new high

The 14th China-Northeast Asia Expo concluded on Aug 27 in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, after a five-day exhibition, with a record-breaking investment in major projects.

Ninety-nine international and domestic cooperation projects were signed, with the contract investment amounting to 84.48 billion yuan ($11.59 billion).

Out of the total number of projects, 59 had an investment of over 100 million yuan, 18 had over 500 million yuan, 18 had over 1 billion yuan, and 4 had over 5 billion yuan.

These projects cover key industries such as new energy, agriculture, equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical health, and modern services, setting a new historical investment peak.

Among the expo's highlights were the 15 latest scientific and technological innovations in fields such as optoelectronics, intelligent manufacturing, pharmaceutical health, modern agriculture, new materials, and new energy, which were unveiled for the first time.

This year's expo attracted around 1,006 exhibitors and institutions from Northeast Asia, Europe, America, countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and places within China. More than 60,000 types of products were displayed, and the exhibition area, the number of participating countries, exhibitors, and product transactions all reached new highs.
