A total of 22 economic and trade cooperation projects were signed up at the recent 21st China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Fair Expo or CCIAFF, with an intentional contract value of about 17.57 billion yuan ($2.54 billion), according to local media reports.

The expo, which wound up on Aug 27 in Changchun – capital of Northeast China's Jilin province – attracted the participation of some 1,500 top domestic agricultural products groups.

Launched in 2000, the municipal government-led event has been held 20 times and has become a key event in China's agricultural calendar.

This year's CCIAFF also offered online opportunities – with 32 individual exhibitions and sessions for brand exhibitions, facilities and equipment, industry demonstrations and science education, as well as economic events and trade forums.

Agricultural products, the latest in equipment, new technologies, a raft of foods, light industrial products and folk cultural items were on show, and there were also displays on the achievements of rural vitalization.
