The 21st China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Fair Expo (or CCIAFF) is to be held on Aug 18-27 in Changchun city, in Northeast China's Jilin province, according to local media reports.

Launched in 2000, the government-led expo has been held 20 times and has become a key event in China's agricultural sector.

This year's CCIAFF will have 32 exhibitions and sessions that cover three major areas: brand exhibitions, facilities and equipment, industry demonstrations and science education, as well as economic events and trade forums.

The event will be staged both on-site and online.

Agricultural products, the latest equipment, new technology, various foods, light industrial products and folk cultural items will be on show – and there will be displays about the achievements of rural revitalization.

The expo will highlight agricultural scientific and technological innovation.

It will demonstrate achievements in the areas of agricultural modernization, informatization and the integration of agricultural product processing. The event will also feature experience models for visitors to get a more direct understanding of black soil protection, precision agriculture, green agriculture and other fields.

The exhibition will also focus on improving the level of digital agriculture and smart exhibitions. In Hall 3, the application and innovation of digital technology in the entire agricultural industry supply chain will be explored. That's in relation to digital agriculture and the construction of digital villages.
