Changchun International Automobile City – located in Changchun city, in Northeast China's Jilin province – is shooting to reach an output value of more than 1.1 trillion yuan ($15 million) by 2025, according to its development plan.
By then, some 4 million units are expected to be manufactured there annually.
Moreover, the output value of its high-end equipment manufacturing sector, with rail transit equipment as the main product, is projected to reach more than 100 billion yuan annually.
Changchun International Automobile City is understood to be supporting homegrown manufacturer China FAW Group's expansion program.
Full support has also been given to the development of service industries, including automobile logistics, auto finance and auto aftermarket ventures, and the introduction of a group of associated enterprises.
Plans are for the development zone to focus on the headquarters economy, with FAW Group's headquarters at the core. Furthermore, it will speed up the introduction of a technological research and development center and make every effort to promote its headquarters economy.
