The Jiutai district of Changchun city – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – recently signed up six major projects to be located there worth 8.8 billion yuan ($1.34 billion), with companies including China Huaneng Group, Oriental Yuhong and CRRC New Infrastructure Investment and Development Co.

The contract signing took place online on April 22.

On April 8, after Jiutai district achieved the goal of dynamic clearing, it started to prepare for the resumption of work and production.

The district then started construction of major projects on April 14, with 28 resuming work.

A total of 106 industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with annual turnover of 20 million yuan or more – have now resumed work and production.
