Aiming high, Changchun signs up 370 major projects in 2021

The economy is on the rise in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province, after it signed up 370 new projects last year, according to a report in the Changchun Daily.

The funds in place for them in 2021 reached 157.6 billion yuan ($25 billion), a year-on-year increase of 33 percent.

Among them, the BASF Regional Settlement and Logistics Center and the Dassault Systèmes Northeast Innovation Center will be developed in Changchun city.

In addition, a $1 billion Northeast production base project of Manhua Holdings will be launched in Changchun, as well as the Changchun Innovation Center of the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center.

Changchun has formulated and issued the "Several Opinions on Further Strengthening the Investment Promotion of Changchun". This focuses on creating a one 1 trillion yuan-level industry and six 100 billion yuan-level industries, striving to establish an industrial ecosystem that sparks more industrial supply chain agglomeration and development.

In the automotive industry, Changchun has promoted the signing of auto parts projects with manufacturers Shanghai Ditongbai, Jiangsu Tomson and Jingcheng Engineering.
