Changchun Ice and Snow New World – located in Changchun city, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province – really grabbed the limelight with its recent kaleidoscopic Lantern Festival Gala, an annual television gala livestreamed on CCTV channels.

The dazzling facility is an ice and snow theme park with brilliant illuminated ice and snow sculptures and a whole host of entertainment facilities.

In the run-up to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the park set up nine large-scale ice buildings with the theme of the Winter Games – as well as a raft of winter sports activities, including short track speed skating, curling and freestyle skiing.

During the Spring Festival holiday, which ran from Jan 31 to Feb 6, the park recorded 12,670 visits per day.
