Jilin's ski resorts beckon winter sports lovers

Enthusiasts hit the slopes at the Lake Songhua Resort in Jilin city, situated in Northeast China's Jilin province. The ski resort opened its doors for business for the new winter season on Nov 12. Located some 15 kilometers from downtown Jilin city, it's a complete complex – offering mountain vacations, alpine skiing, events training, outdoor sports, restaurants and food outlets, as well as comfy accommodation. Visitors throng to the popular Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin city, Jilin province. The resort was back up and running on Nov 18 after completing an overall renovation and upgrading. Some 37 new ski runs have been installed, 20 of which are now operating – taking the total number of ski tracks in operation there currently to 47. The Miaoxiangshan Ski Resort in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, has one of the best skiing fields in the province for winter sports fans. This resort has a total snow-covered area of 160,000 square meters, with 13 ski runs. Both beginners and experts can have a ball there. [Photo provided to gojilin.gov.cn]
