A delegation from Changbaishan Chinan Area – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – attended the ongoing fifth China International Import Expo or CIIE in East China's Shanghai on Nov 6, according to local media reports.

After five years of development, the CIIE has become a global event for the release of new products, cutting-edge technologies and innovative services.

This year, the six exhibition areas have brought together leading companies from all over the world, with various highlights.

The food and agricultural products exhibition area has the largest number of exhibitors and the most commodities on show. This year, a new crop seed industry area has been set up.

In the automobile area, the world's top 15 car companies with brand value have all participated in the exhibition. A commercial vehicles sector has been established for the first time, focusing on the low-carbon transformation of the auto industry.

The technical equipment exhibition area has a new artificial intelligence area and an immersive experience area – covering seven application scenarios including sports, the office, industry, education, art, catering and entertainment.

This year's CIIE will conclude on Nov 10.
