People of the Korean ethnic group in China grow rice as a staple food. The locally produced iron pot for steaming rice is unique. The bottom of the pot is shallow and flat, and the lid is thick and heavy, preventing leaks. The steamed rice is particularly delicious.

There are many types of Korean food, the most distinctive of which are cold noodles, rice cakes, dog meat soup and kimchi.

Cold noodles are one of the favorite staple foods of Koreans in summer. Cold noodles, also known as "longevity noodles", are exquisite in materials. The raw materials are mostly refined buckwheat noodles and potato starch. The condiments include beef, eggs, sesame, pepper and apple slices. The snack is soft, chewy, refreshing and delicious.

The rice cake is the main food for the Korean people to serve guests during festivals. It is made from steamed sticky rice, beaten in a stone scoop, and supplemented with bean paste and sesame to taste soft and sweet.

Korean kimchi is a household name, with a wide variety of raw materials, including Chinese cabbage, platy codon, radish, sesame leaves, Osmunda japonica and kelp. The condiments are salt, garlic chili, ginger and monosodium glutamate. It tastes refreshing and appetizing.

The Korean people have a custom of eating dog meat. The ancient people said that "eating dog meat soup in dog days is no less good than eating ginseng and deer antlers". They believe dog broth can drive away the cold in winter and relieve the heat in summer.

The local nutritious wine such as ant wine, deer penis wine, rhodiola wine, old grass wine, ganoderma wine and bilberry wine, are most popular. They not only have local characteristics, but have certain medicinal effects.
