The green views will have a good psychological effect on people standing on the viewing platform of Changbaishan Station in the forest, as they echo Changbai Mountain just 35 kilometers away.

The station, in the forest hinterland of the Changbai Mountain Protection and Development Zone, has an altitude of over 900 meters. Only 12 meters away from the mountain forest, it is one of the few "forest high-speed railway" stations in China, and is expected to be the most beautiful station in the country, displaying the nearby national first-class protected plant Meiren Pine (or Beauty Pine).

The Dunhua-Baihe High-speed Railway, located in the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture of Jilin province, starts from the newly-built Changbaishan Station, stops at Yongqing Station and Dunhua South Station, and ends at Dunhua Station. It passes through the Changbai Mountain Protection and Development Zone, Antu county and Dunhua city, with a total length of 113.5 kilometers.

The high-speed railway will enable visitors to arrive at the foot of Changbai Mountain by train, and the travel time from Changchun to Changbai Mountain via Dunhua will be reduced from more than 4 hours to 2.5 hours.

The railway will play a positive role in improving the travel conditions of cities in the eastern part of Northeast China, promoting cooperation and exchanges in Northeast Asia, contributing to the coordinated development and cooperation with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and promoting the in-depth development of tourism resources in the Changbai Mountain region.

Changbaishan Station is in the stage of decoration and mechanical and electrical installation, according to a project team leader. All the staff members will spare no effort to deliver a high-quality project, he added.
