An activity was organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of apple pear planting and also to offer best wishes for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on May 15 in Lihua Folk Square, Longjing city, Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, Northeast China's Jilin province.

Longjing, known as the hometown of apple pears, has the largest apple pear planting orchard in Asia. These years, the city has paid attention to the development of its intensive processing industry of apple pears, rolled out by-products such as apple pear wine and apple pear vinegar, and made positive attempts to extend the industrial life cycle and the variety of Longjing apple pears.

These efforts have improved the market competitiveness of apple pears and added more economic value to "the most beautiful apple pear garden".

The event aims to further promote the Korean folk customs and cultural tourism resources of Longjing city, along with the Korean farming culture and centennial apple pear cultivation history, in order to promote the transformation and upgrading of the local apple pear industry and inject impetus into rural revitalization.
