Jilin athletes shine at FISU World University Games

On Aug 2, athletes from Northeast China's Jilin province finally made their long-awaited debut at the Chengdu FISU World University Games, demonstrating exceptional talent and determination throughout their performances.

Wang Shi, a student from Jilin Normal University, and Tan Sheng, a teacher, participated in the men's saber individual and team fencing competitions as athletes and coaches, respectively.

Guo Sijia, 23 years old, is an athlete at Jilin Athletics Management Center. On Aug 2, Guo won fifth place in the women's long jump competition in the track and field at the Chengdu FISU World University Games.

While the Jilin delegation gave a remarkable performance, there were also moments of disappointment. A few missed opportunities and minor setbacks prevented them from achieving a perfect score. However, their resilience and ability to bounce back from adversity impressed both spectators and fellow competitors alike.

Despite any setbacks, the athletes from Jilin remain determined and motivated to make their mark on the remaining events.

As the Chengdu FISU World University Games continue, the stage is set for more thrilling displays of athleticism and sportsmanship.
