Siping city opens four ice rinks to public free of charge

Four ice rinks in Siping city, located in Northeast China's Jilin province, have been opened to the public free of charge, as part of its efforts to promote winter sports with Beijing 2022 underway, according to local media reports.

The Hongzui Swan Lake Public Ice Rink is available for residents to try their hand at speed skating and figure skating.

The ice rink at Liumalu Primary School is available for residents to do speed skating and youth speed skating training. On Feb 9-13, the Ice Bike Skills Challenge of the first Siping Ice and Snow Festival is being held there.

Entertainment attractions at Xinshuiyun Ice and Snow Entertainment Park in Tiedong district include snow circles and ice cars. The attractions at Nanhu Public Ice Rink include ice bikes and speed skating.
