Five-year goals have been set for Siping city in Northeast China's Jilin province, with regional GDP expected to grow by 7 percent every year, and local fiscal revenue expected to grow 5 percent, according to a development plan released by the municipal government.
Long-term development goals have also been set according to the development plan. By 2030, Siping should complete the phased mission of revitalizing its old industrial base, creating strong support for the province's major strategies.
By 2035, Siping is expected to realize new industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), its efforts will mainly be made in three areas: rural revitalization, industrial transformation and upgrading, and the rapid development of the modern service industry,
During this period, Siping will implement an innovation-driven strategy, enhance its support capacity for modernization, promote the coordinated development of urban and rural areas, and pursue green development.
