Nanshan Tourist Scenic Area

Located in Siping, Northeast China's Jilin province, the Nanshan Tourist Scenic Area is a national 3A-level scenic spot, covering an area of 18 square kilometers.

It is a scenic area that integrates folk customs, natural environment, leisure and vacation, and is a place for Buddhist worship.

Its main attractions include Wanfo Pagoda, Manchu style courtyards, Baoyong Temple, a three-entry stone archway, and traditional Manchu dwellings.

The Baoyong Temple covers an area of 10,000 square meters and has the largest statue of Maitreya (the future Buddha), which is made of pure copper and painted with pure gold. The temple opened to the public in 2003.
