Siping posts steady economic growth in Q1-3

The regional gross domestic product (GDP) of Siping in Northeast China's Jilin province reached 41.69 billion yuan ($6.52 billion) in the first three quarters of 2021, a year-on-year increase of 9.6 percent.

The growth rate, 1.8 percentage points higher than the provincial average, ranked first in the province.

Specifically, the added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries increased by 7.1 percent, 10.3 percent, and 10.8 percent year-on-year, respectively.

During the period, Siping completed 16.26 billion yuan in fixed asset investment, an increase of 18.4 percent year-on-year, which was 5.4 percentage points higher than the provincial average and puts Siping at second in the province.
