The second World Ice and Snow Economy of Cold Regions Conference will be held from Dec 19 to 20 in Jilin city, Northeast China's Jilin province. This highly anticipated event aims to boost the development of the ice and snow economy while promoting international cooperation in related industries.
The conference supports the philosophy that "ice and snow are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver". It serves as a platform for enhancing global collaboration in winter sports, culture, tourism, and equipment manufacturing, encouraging the transformation of frozen landscapes into economic assets.
Diverse activities are planned, including six major events and local celebrations showcasing Jilin's unique winter resources. Highlights include investment forums, cultural festivals, and sporting events. The conference also features an innovative venue: Beidahu Ski Resort, where attendees can enjoy immersive winter experiences and explore Jilin's premium products at a dedicated exhibition.
Over 21 countries and regions have confirmed participation, with diplomats, industry leaders, and international organizations attending. Notable guests include former Winter Olympic champions and provincial leaders from across China. Together, they will explore the potential of the ice and snow economy and opportunities for global partnerships.
The event promises to elevate Jilin province's standing as a leader in winter economic development and offer a platform for cross-border collaboration and growth.
