Cao Xi, a holder of a master's degree in finance, has returned to his hometown in Northeast China's Jilin province to become a "new farmer" – and under the influence of the region's policies, he's helped to boost its employment and entrepreneurship.

With the lease of 4,500 mu (300 hectares) of land, he has established a complete 1,350-mu organic rice production supply chain.

This covers the fields of rice production, processing, storage, packaging and logistics.

He has also built a farm machinery warehouse and established a pilot project for integrating agriculture, tourism and rural accommodation – promoting employment and entrepreneurship for over 1,500 people.
