During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday on June 3-5, Baishan city in Northeast China's Jilin province received 721,000 visitors and generated a tourism income of 689 million yuan ($103 million).
Most arrivals chose to enjoy short tours and rural tours, as well as to experience family tours and self-drive tours.
During the three-day break, the Beishan Scenic Area received more than 60,000 visitors and the Zhuque Mountain Forest Park received some 2,200 tourists.
To maintain a safe and orderly environment for tourists, the city boosted its novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures.
It introduced extra security patrols and inspections at key tourist attractions, with special arrangements put in place to ensure adequate numbers of officials were on duty to handle any complaints.
