Updated: May 16, 2022

Jilin city – located in Northeast China's Jilin province – is making every effort to advance its work resumption and project construction, according to local media reports.

In end-April, 204 projects worth more than 50 million yuan ($7.47 million) each had fully restarted, including the Jilin Guoxing Carbon Fiber Project with a total investment of 6.88 billion yuan. Others included the Jiaohe Pihe Pumped Storage Power Station, costing 7 billion yuan and the Jinyu Jidong Green Building Materials Industrial Park, involving a total outlay of 3 billion yuan.

In order to further play a key role in investment in economic growth, the municipal development and reform commission has taken the lead in putting forward several measures to further expand effective investment.

Priority will be given to securing land for projects such as those for epidemic prevention and control, as well as in key industries and for important infrastructure. In terms of service optimization, Jilin is implementing an online review to improve the efficiency of consultations and evaluations, and to take the whole process onto the internet and digitalize it.

In addition, the city has given special financial support to the planning of 16 industrial chain projects.
