Jilin city begins to lift COVID-19 lockdown

Updated: April 29, 2022

Jilin city, in Northeast China's Jilin province, began to lift its COVID-19 lockdown and bring things back to normal on April 28, according to local media reports.

Services for the daily lives of folks in precautionary zones, like convenience stores, barbershops, laundries and vehicle repair shops, are now getting back to business, but under vigilant COVID-19 prevention and control requirements.

These venues now require reservations and must limit their visitors to prevent gatherings. Those coming are required to don a mask, have their body temperature measured and show their travel code at the door.

Elsewhere, company employees need to have a negative nucleic acid certificate within 48 hours before coming to work, as well as undertake a nucleic acid test in line with their firm's work resumption plans.
