Some 670 metric tons of vegetables, milk, noodles and other daily necessities donated by Liaoning and Hebei provinces recently arrived in Jilin city, in Northeast China's Jilin province.

They were distributed to various urban areas and development zones in the city, according to local media reports.

On April 7, there were 617 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in the province, including 474 in Changchun city, 136 in Jilin city, four in Baicheng, two in Baishan and one in Siping city.

There were 1,649 new cases of local asymptomatic infections, including 1,553 in Changchun and 92 in Jilin city.

But 1,439 cases were cured and discharged from hospitals in the province, including 1,131 in Changchun and 279 in Jilin city.
